The TWC 9 is a double stack 1911 style handgun from Jacob Grey Firearms, chambered in 9mm. TWC: Throwback With Capacity. It is a production gun, but "production gun" in the Jacob Grey context means something entirely different - and far higher quality - than what it might mean when referring to other manufacturers.
...
Jacob Grey Firearms takes its name from the company's founder, Jake Bracket. Bracket grew up in the machine shop industry, not least because that's what his father did. He was running an aerospace machining business for several years before expanding the company into firearms.

Note we say expanding, not transitioning to. You can quite literally walk into the shop and see them machining elements of an F16 in one area while 1911 or AR parts are being worked in another.
...
The same 5- and 7-axis CNC machines used to craft parts for aircraft like the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lighting II are the same machines utilized to precision manufacture Jacob Grey's guns. The company is extremely sure of the quality and fitment of its firearms. This confidence is reflected in their motto.

The TWC 9 is a billet-cut double-stack 1911 with a 4.25" stainless steel (crowned) bull barrel, chosen to help ensure accuracy and durability. A Nowlin ramp, more often referred to as Wilson/Nowlin, on the back of the barrel helps ensure reliable feeding and repetition.

The upper frame of the TWC is fully CNC-machined, as is the lower grip. Both are crafted from billet 7075 aluminum utilizing a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). This material provides excellent structural integrity while reducing weight. The CMM ensures every machined piece is exactly within specifications.
...
The TWC 9 trigger is called the CRT, or Controlled Radius Trigger. It too is billet aluminum. It's machined as a single monolithic part, intended to help assure a smooth, crisp, and consistent 3.5lb trigger pull.

The slide is machined from stainless steel and subsequently treated with a salt bath nitride process; this measure is taken to improve the weapon's durability and ability to withstand environmental threats, but it also yields a high-quality, lasting feeling.
...
The TWC 9 is optic-ready, with optic mount options for both RMR and RMSc footprint optics. The front sights are an XS tritium model; the rear sight is integrated into the optic plate or filler plate. Both are suppressor height sights.

Some other features include an integrated flared magazine well for quick and easy reloads, ambidextrous safety for versatile use, and a full two-piece guide rod system for added reliability.
...
All parts of the TWC 9 handgun, like other Jacob Grey firearms, are given a fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) to check each piece for defects after machining.

Jacob Grey says their guns are the "...type of firearms that you will be able to pass down to your children, grandchildren, and their children. Billet machined, billet tough, and built to last more than one lifetime."

We see no reason to disagree.
