Hello,
After hours of evaluation, examining, fitting, polishing and eventual dealer intervention I was able to get "decent" performance from a CMC Glock 9mm trigger mounted in a new Polymer 80 compact build. Upon initial installation per instruction the trigger pull was extremely gritty and probably in the neighborhood of 10lbs of pu

After hours ofll before sear disengagement. After careful examination I determined several parts of the trigger assembly would benefit from polishing. The CMC trigger assembly was not the only component contributing to the problem. The rear rail from the polymer 80 was poorly finished in critical areas and the OEM Glock safety plunger was less than ideal as well. All of these parts, along with the CMC connector and cruciform, were removed polished and refitted yielding better but less than stock Glock trigger performance.
After reaching the limit of my troubleshooting experience I sought the help of the dealer Firearms Unknown in San Diego where I purchased the kit. The Firearms Unknown staff agreed with my assessment that the trigger was performing poorly and engaged in their own troubleshooting effort. Their final recommendation was to replace the CMC connector with a Ghost connector, replace the OEM safety plunger and replace the Polymer 80 rear rail. Once these parts were installed the trigger functioned as expected with a consistent, measured sub 4.5lb pull.
I wanted to take a moment to inform you of this experience for two reasons. First, I think your product performance is severely impacted if used in the tighter rear rail tolerances of the compact Polymer 80 frames without serious rework, polishing and part replacement. Hardly a "drop-in" solution. Secondly, the amount of effort and additional part expense (Ghost connector) is a bit hard to swallow considering your product retails for $150.00 US. I honestly think with this much effort we could have made an OEM trigger perform as well as the CMC after the modifications. I think offering your product in what is essentially stock OEM condition (not polished in critical areas, poor connector component) is a disservice to all of those who use your excellent AR platform triggers and buy based on their experience with those triggers. Your Glock drop-in trigger solution misses the mark by a wide margin. Read LessRead less about Hello,
