Manufactured 100% in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, the Match Series starts with 416-R in 5R rifling. 5R is a hybrid rifling, with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that reduces jacket deformation increasing velocity and easy cleaning. After rigorous testing, the barrels are Nitride treated inside and out, locking in the bore, improving barrel life, and keeping the elements at bay.
The extension is coated a nickel-teflon coating that maintains incredible dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and with the coating, tightens up fit between the extension and receiver - again improving upon accuracy. Combined, the Match Series of barrels are ready for when duty calls or the buzzer beeps with unrivaled performance value.

After 100 rounds of break in/cleaning, 123 smk star line brass 31.7 leverevolution produced multiple sub 1/2moa 5 shot groups 2515fps sd 11. Hotter load with primers starting to flatten. Barrel shoots well warm with very little point of impact shift, shoots best groups cold.

Superb finish inside and out, and light weight. Cleaner rifling than my Wilson Combat and Saturn barrels. Outside coating is tough and won’t get scratched up hunting. I had to tap my gas block on pretty good with hammer and I backed it off a bit to see if the coating was marred up. Used to getting better performance out of Faxon barrels (I have 4 others in other cals). I have Shilen 20", Ultra match 22" and 20 Criterion all in Grendel, plus 16" pencil. Using 120/123 hand loads, never got better than 1 moa at 100' with this barrel. Have higher expectations for these barrels.
