If you want to ensure rock solid reliability on your rifle, pinning the gas block to the barrel will ensure that it remains in place regardless of your firing cycle. At this time we only pin solid (set screw attachment) gas blocks.

I’m a fan of a pinned gas block. Rainier does a great job of lining up the gas port and then pinning the block. The weapon operates reliably and I don’t have to worry about a screw working loose or having to use a locking compound or heat.

literally a perfect job, absolutely zero complaints. I sent in a Rosco Manufacturing bloodline barrel with gas block to be pinned as well as a surefire SOCOM comp for for the pin and weld service. besides shipping it was done and on the way back in 5 business days.

I was completely satisfied with the work done by Rainier Arms. Not only did they dimple the barrel, but they cross drilled it and provided a locking pin. Fits like a snug glove. It wont be moving anywhere. I've had this service done as well as a muzzle device pinned. 100% satisfied with the work. I would highly recommend. Thanks again.
Q: Does this service apply to pinning a gas block on an already completed upper receiver?

A: It does, but we prefer to pin barrels that are not yet installed.

Q: I have a Daniel Defense barrel that already has a notch drilled for a gas block pin, but I want to swap out the gas block for a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block. Can you drill the hole for the pin in the gas block to match up with the existing notch in the barrel? Thanks

Q: I have a .458 Socom nitride barrel and a low profile steel gas block. Since the barrel is nitride, I would choose this service correct? Also do you dimple the barrel for the set screws on the gas block? Thank you, I already had you guys pin an A2 front sight for me in the past, and it is perfect....

A: This is the service you would use for pinning on a nitride barrel. We do dimple the barrel.
