Noveske Vltor MUR (Modular Upper Receiver) was developed to give the customer a MilSpec correct upper receiver with a thicker wall making the MUR upper receiver a more rigid platform. A more rigid upper receiver will increase accuracy and reliability while extending the life of interfacing components such as the bolt carrier group and barrel assembly.

7075 aircraft-grade aluminum forging
Prior to machining, the forging is fully stress relieved; heat treated, aged twice and undergoes a proprietary cryogenic treatment

Purchased new Noveske branded, Vltor Upper from Rainier Arms. I received the upper (sold as new) in an opened box with the protective plastic bag torn open. I am unable to determine if this upper is new or used. My rating reflects the condition of the packaging not the item.

Unless specifically marked as such all products on our website are going to be new. Regarding the open packaging there's a number of reasons we may have needed to inspect it including answering customer questions about specific features, shade of the black, or double checking the QC of Noveske at their request. Great upper! Rainier Arms has been a big helped me getting hard to find Noveske parts. The MUR is a solid platform. Very impressed with the the packaging and care rainier displayed. The upper arrived quickly in a solid outer box ensuring my purchase arrived undamaged. Great product and service thank you once again.
