After years of reading about piston uppers, I finally bought one. This is over a pound lighter than HK 416. This has several pieces less than Adams Arms, Superlative, LWRC, or Lietner Wise. Clean and cool running long stroke piston is what makes this unique, and suppressor optimized.

Before I shot it I cleaned and oiled it with a military nano technology lube. Shot about 60 rounds thru it. I kept the pinned PWS flash comp/flash suppressor on, and no plans on suppressing it yet or changing to a mount. This comp is effective. No rise or flash. Loud 14.5" barrel. Piston is noticeably heavier, yet in the right spot. Keeps the gun level and on target. Regular carbine buffer with wide open gas setting. The two dot and three dot marked gas setting caused fail to feed and fail to extract. Bolt is nickel boron. Bolt carrier is nitride and has anti tilt feature. Raptor charging handle is the $H!T, and is easy with an optic. Rifle is not too heavy, actually perfect weight for competition, patrol, or packing up to your coyote spot.
