When designing our new Rainier Arms Ambidextrous MOD 2 Safety Selector, we made sure our brand's innovation, intent and quality were evident in every aspect of the design. While most AR safety selectors in the market today rely on standard socket/torx screws, ours were engineered with a RidgeKey™ locking mechanism. This system allows the levers to secure itself onto the selector core with a solid point of contact and thus eliminating any weak points in the system. Our selector core is coated in black nitride, giving you a smoother surface and superior resistance to wear.
Features:
Ambidextrous 6061 T6 Aluminum selector levers
4140 Steel selector core coated in black nitride
Medium length for optimum performance
Built in 50 and 90 degree options
Robust RidgeKey™ locking mechanism with no visible screws
Strategically placed serrations to offer maximum real estate for contact

I was looking at a couple other 45s and this was one of the very few that don’t require a 45 specific receiver. Super easy to install. A lot of realestate to grab on to while manipulating. Just the right length so it does not dig into your shooting hand when off.

Love that this adds a bit of not-so-subtle bling to my otherwise black gun! I feel like safety selectors are a generally overpriced item, but this is the rare one that’s worth it!

Installed this in a new Dirty Bird DB9 billet lower with a Patriot Ordnance Factory drop-in trigger. I used the 50 degree setting. The levers are big enough to manipulate easy, but aren't oversized to a point where they feel like they're in the way. At first it was a very tight to rotate and, but after about 15-20 cycles it freed up, and the deten...Read MoreRead more about Installed this in a new Dirty Bird DB9
ts are very positive. I did use a very light coat of M-PRO 7 gun grease around both ends where it rotates in the receiver, as well in the detent channel. This safety doesn't feel gritty like the Timber Creek I have in another lower. At the time of ordering I didn't realize that it didn't come with the detent or spring; luckily I had some in the spare parts box. For the price it would be nice if the extra hardware came with it though. I do like the internal set screws to secure the levers versus a small screw on the outside, or the pin and spring system in the Radian Talon. Overall it's a great safety selector system.
