Put this on my 20in bbl Springfield Armory hellion and looks great , hides the flash good also, would be perfect if the outside diameter was a little bit like a A2 so a bayonet could have been also used .

to get a unit that screwed on as tight as I could get it, and it would work. PRESTO! This doesn't have a solid base (protection if shooting prone) which I really don't do with my 5.56. Screwed this on as tight as I could get it without torquing my barrel to death. Worked great and looks nice as well. Read LessRead less about Other flash hiders require you to

Waited for the 1/2 x 28 to come back in stock but was finishing my 223/556 build. Got a 1/2 x 28 to 1/2 x 36 adapter. Machining is excellent as well as the anodizing. Haven't noticed any affects of the extra length of the adapter on the performance of this firearm.
