ver 41. 5gr of Varget and got 2650 fps. Initial groups were lackluster as you'd expect from a fresh barrel but after about 50 rounds I started getting 3 shot groups around 5/8". Recoil was pretty soft and I was able to spot my own shots at 100 yards at around 18x magnification. These loads were tuned to my old factory barrel so I'm excited to see what it does after I work up a load specific to this one. I'm very pleased with this item so far. I had a pleasant email exchange with the sales rep prior to purchasing and had all my questions answered. Note: it isn't noted on the sales page but the barrel comes pre-dimpled for the gas block. Q: Will this barrel fire .308 win and 762x51 with no issues?

A: This barrel is chambered for commercial 308 loadings. 7.62x51 would not be unsafe, however the looser tolerances of military ammo may prevent it from chambering.
