This was my first ever item like this, so I don't have a way to compare. I just want to speak for my experience using the bronze set of pins. The coating and its durability. For me, they have worn down to the under product and have a silver/bronzish look to them now. extremely worn look. I baby my guns. Can't afford a bunch. I cannot speak for the other colors. I can say I never really got a set that looked like the set in the pictures. Maybe it's just the coating isn't always like the pictures. I know there can be variations with these things.
