Each thread protector is precision machined with an aggressive textured surface for a tool-less installation and removal and black nitride coated for a durable, long lasting finish. I have these on a Silencer Co, Zev, Lantac and a Battle Arms Development barrels, there all 1/2x28 , I also have one for my Glock 43 Silencer Co barrel. These are not really made for rifles. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.

This well made and nicely finished, but it's too long for the 3 different brands of pistol barrels that I tried, and too short for the threads on an AR pattern barrel.
